The Battle of the Defence and a missed Penalty
After a 2 weeks break, SBFC is back with a match against a seasoned team at the long-forgotten Yusof Ishak SS, which upgraded its field to a artificial one. So no complains and excuses about the quality of the field. With the return of Balotelli and the 'out-of-retirement' Scholesy, SBFC is close to getting its squad back to full strength.

The match started slow and chances fall equally to both sides. There were constant attacks on both ends but the respective defenders were able to deal with them promptly. This will be a battle to see which side loses concentration and concede the first mistake. With both defences playing very well, the first half ended a boring 0-0.

Unfortunately, the 2nd half started with SBFC making the first mistake of the game. An attack down the flank by the opponent lured out J.Terri, which left a hole in the central defence. The attackers gladly take this chance and threaded a through ball to one of their strikers. He makes no mistake and SBFC is down by a goal. Though the finishing is good, there's a strong suspicion that the striker is in a offside position when he receives the ball. Nonetheless, the referee stand by his decision, SBFC 0-1! The goal changes the pace of the game and SBFC began to up its tempo by a notch. A chance to level the game was presented to SBFC when Jackie was tripped and foul in the penalty box! As the person who earn the penalty, he steps up to take it as well. Being known for his long-shot rather then close range finishes, he didn't 'disappoint'. Too much power was being applied to the ball and it hits the top of the goal post and rebounded off to safety. Missed Penalty!

SBFC never recover from the effect of the missed penalty and the game was practically over when a second goal was added not too long after that. A long ball from the opponent's defence managed to find their defender-turned-striker. He manages to turn J.Terri and passes the ball to the striker who only needs to stick out this leg and direct the ball into the net. SBFC 0-2!

The scoreline lasted till the end of the game and sums up the already bad result SBFC is facing this season. 3 loses in a row. How will they recover from this? Who is there to step up and lead the charge?

Broken defense line exposes Songbo FC

Songbo loses after failing to contain the opponent key player. The key player was controlling the game and even contributed to the winning goal.

The opponent scores the 1st goal after the their winger crosses the ball into the penalty box and heads it in the back of the net, 1-0.

With their key player not around in the 2nd half, Songbo make use of the opportunity and with a superb pass from Alvin Toh, Mark break the offside trap and scores an equalizer. 1-1.

Realizing that Songbo is taking control, the key player was back to the pitch and the game was turned around again. KS let their big and slow opponent player take his time to make across to the far pole where the key player was. Kelvin who was man-marking was unable to intercept the ball and allow their key player to score from a header. 2-1.

Captain Sparrow's Hat-trick lead Songbo FC to victory

Songbo settled another win with the captain scoring a hat-trick . He will be needing to charge up his power for dunno how long to be able to use it again.

Captain Sparrow scores the only goal in the 1st half when Junbing, who dribbles to the sideline, crosses a low ball to him. He places the ball to to top right corner, which completely beat the keeper off position.1-0.

In the 2nd half, the opponent fight back to score the equaliser. 1-1.

With some determination and spirit, Songbo leads their opponent again. This time, Alvin Toh pass the ball again to Captain Sparrow, who manages to place an unconvincing rolling ball into the bottom left of the goal post. 2-1.

Captain Sparrow extends the lead with a long shot via a free kick. With poor positioning, the opponent goalkeeper was unable to touch the ball which was going over him. 3-1.

Berbatoh's scoring streak fails to save Songbo FC from defeat

Berbatoh's fine form in front of goal continued with his 7th goal in 4 games but it was not enough as Songbo FC slumbered to a 2-3 defeat. Things looked good at the start with Berbatoh finishing to the keeper's right after PapaSoh found him in the area with a precise pass. The opponents did not really manage to threaten in the 1st half but they rode their luck with Junbing hitting the post from an acute angled shot and then equalising just before half time when an Yanshou deflected an incoming free kick into an opponent.

The 2nd half started slowly as both teams were trying to gain a foothold on the match. However, the opponents once again enjoyed a touch of fortune when a loose ball was not properly cleared in the penalty box and somehow found its way to their striker lurking in front of goal. Songbo FC was also playing for a period of time with 10 men on the field as Alvin Toh had to be sidelined with a back injury. Long absent star striker Jeremy made his comeback appearance and while his touches and fitness is not at his sharpest, he still managed to show some glimpse of his skills that brought him so many goals in the past.

The opponents put the match almost officially to rest following a quick counterattack from the left and their striker executed a neat finish into the far post. With full time lurking and 2 goals behind, Songbo FC managed to claw back 1 goal after Jackie's corner was met by Alvin Toh's head, who have came back onto the field after the pain in his back subsided. However, it was too little, too late and Songbo FC's 6 winning streak came to an abrupt end.

SONGBO FC (PRESENT) vs SONGBO FC (FUTURE)
With a 2 match winning run on its back, SBFC goes into the game in high spirits and confident of extending the winning streak. The opponent presents themselves in a interesting way as they closely resembles how SBFC will be like in the near future. Thus, this will be a match between the present SBFC vs the future SBFC.

Playing on a congested pitch, chances do not come aplenty. The balls kept being ping-pong between the two defences as both sides decided to play a no nonsense game. The strikers hardly has any chance to touch the ball and make their presence felt. The defenders go for safety as they clear each and every ball they come into contact with. As a result of all this, the midfielders were basically 'spectators' in the first half. With neither side willing to commit more players during attack, the first half ended 0-0.

Second half begins where first half left off as both sides continue their usual routine of clearing the ball and falling back to defend in numbers. The game was looking to end in a dull 0-0. However, the in-form and current top scorer Berbatoh begs to defer. Having scored 4 goals in the last 2 winning games, he was always looking to add another one to his goal tally. A sublime individual effort saw him twisting and turning past defenders. The finishing was second to none as he blasted the ball into the net. SBFC leads 1-0!

With SBFC's defenders in top form, they were able to absorb the overflowing attacks from the opponents. The whole team was relieved to hear the final whistle blown and SBFC grabbed a deserved win with a rare clean sheet. A boring but well played game. Credits to the whole team for giving out their best!

Freak Goals give SONGBO FC another Win
A fourth clean sheet ensures another win for Songbo FC as Junbing and Alvin Toh each strikes a lucky goal to seal the game in the 2nd half. Opponents were a team which had been played before and they started the game with only 8 players and other players started to slowly come in after the match started.

The 1st half ended with no highlights except with Hweequan who was substituted due to a pull on his leg. Everyone thought he was just trying to received an important call. Junbing scored the 1st goal in the 2nd half. He had make a shot and it faked everyone, including himself, as it was a poorly taken shot. Alvin Toh extends the lead after a deflected shot get itself into the back of the net. A last min penalty given to the opponents saw the striker placed it to the top bar and ending the game.

Sonbo FC got 3 times lucky in this match. Alvin Toh, Junbing and Yanshou must have been diligently praying to their ancestors in which they had came and give them a helping hand.

Anyway, today marks the opening of the 鬼门, and everyone be careful. Yeah?

Well saved penalty gives 10-man SONGBO FC a deserved win
A hard-earned win for Songbo FC where they had to slog through the match with 10-man and no substitutes. Opponents were dominantly Indians but they did not possess the skills normally associated with their race. They had some good attacking players which explained the high scoreline and they fought back from being 5-2 down to 5-4. Only a well-saved penalty by Junbing denied the opponents the comeback they were looking for.

Alvin Toh scored a memorable hat trick against an almost non-existent GK with the highlight being an air back heel finish into the bottom corner from a Junbing cross. Junbing made most of a Hweequan clearance to turn his marker to finish and Rujia showed exactly how non-existent the opponent's GK was by simply directing a free kick into the middle of the goal.

In short, it should and could have been a piece of cake for Songbo FC given the quality of the opponents, although they have to be given credit for their attacking prowess with the likes of a Obafemi Martins/Shaun Wright Phillips hybrid of a player and some skillful attackers, but Songbo FC were made to work for the victory they deserved with 10-man.

Songbo FC gets another win with a 2nd clean sheet of the season. The 1st/last one was in March with a 3-0 win over the opponents.

There was another match the week before and Songbo was leading 1-0 by half time, but due to heavy rain, the match was abandoned.

The opponents for this match were some old faces with new bloods. It was an opponent that they had played before and had a good track record against them so they will be a good benchmark for Songbo.

In the 1st half, Songbo was leading the game with constant attacks on their goal post. Although the opponents carries more possession, they were unable to penetrate the defense of Songbo as the 2 CBs has been above their average performance and almost clearing every ball onto the oponents' half.

Songbo continues their attacks and after a series of shots, Commando Tan connects a lose ball from the goal keeper and places the ball into the back of the net. 1-0!

Another goal soon came after Mervin lobs a ball into the penalty box to Tiger Yan, who was barely onside. He manages to get a shot and the ball cleanly roll through the goalkeeper's leg, increasing the lead for Songbo. 2-0!

During half time, the manager requested that Songbo increase the lead with 2 more goals, and a defeat will mean that Songbo get disbanded.

The 2nd half was packed with fast actions with both sides trying to attack when they have taken possession. The opponents has few attacking threats except for a few free kicks, given by poor refereeing, which hardly tested Songbo's GK.

Later in the half, Songbo grew more defensive as the midfielders fall back to help defend. They had hope not to let the opponent get in a goal instead of going to get more goals instead. This was maybe due to the fact that Songbo had let in late goals for their few losses the past weeks and they were determined not to let that happen again.

The game ended 2-0 with no goals in the 2nd half, which was short of the manager's expectations.

Match Report:

Songbo FC has never had such a torrid record before; on a back of a 4 loss streak is something they have never experienced and the word "crisis" looms around each of their players' minds. This match squares Songbo FC off with a familiar opponent which they have had a decent record with. On this form however, record books go out of the window.

Sure enough, the opening minutes saw the opponents dominating the space in midfield. Within the opening minutes of the game, the opponents had a few good shots towards the goal. Songbo FC was fortunate that the opponents could not make better use of the opportunities. However, as luck and fate would have it, the opponents got the opening goal. Once again, making use of the space available in the middle of the park, their midfield carved out a space for himself and took a good shot at goal. 0-1; The first goal goes to the opponents and Songbo FC could hardly have wished for a worse beginning.

The rest of the first half saw some stout defending from Songbo FC and although chances did come for an equaliser, they were few and far between.

During half-time, the manager and the captain gave some encouragement as well as some instructions for the 2nd half. All the players know that they had to dig deep in order to turn this abysmal form around. With that, the usual "huat" ritual was done and the players streamed onto the field with a purpose.

The 2nd half indeed began brighter for Songbo FC; the back line was pushed up constantly to prevent the opponents from finding space in the middle and to prevent attacks forming. Songbo FC had more of a threat in the 2nd half and after some poor defending and confusion in the opponent's penalty area, Alvin Toh was on hand to strike home via a swivel shot to square things up. 1-1 and Songbo FC had the upper hand.

Alvin had a glorious opportunity to put his team in front when he was played through by a lobbed pass from Mervin but he decided to put the ball at the back of the fence instead of at the back of the net. However, Songbo FC was not to be denied. After defending a corner, Kenny had time to take the ball out of his penalty area to clear the ball upfield. Junbing was lying upfront in wait of the clearance which went in the ideal direction for him to trap the ball down, bring in into the area and whipped a shot past the keeper's right. 2-1 to Songbo FC!

Songbo FC knew that this result is not final; in the past 4 matches, Songbo FC has uncharacteristically given away the crucial winning goal during the final moments of the game. Playing with the same resolute style, Songbo FC pressed on and won a penalty after Kelvin was brought down as he went on a good run into the penalty box. Hweequan, making his 1st appearance after a good few matches away from the team, took the opportunity to restore belief that Songbo FC's result were dependent on him and if he scored it, the team would be more than happy to acknowledge his contribution.

However, Hweequan was made to rue a penalty miss that went wide of the right post and it seemed to be headed for the entrance to the field instead of the net. Sniggers could be heard from the opponent reserve players situated behind the goal.

Songbo FC was not punished by the penalty miss, however, and went on to win the game. A much needed victory after a depressing run of results and relives much pressure of the manager's shoulders. We can only hope that this win will spark off a run of good results for Songbo FC.

GONE : Simplicity, Desire to win, Understanding, fitness,

IN : Laziness , bo chup, brotherhood

Never had Song Bo been in this situation before. Never had the result be like this. Just like what Liverpool has been experiencing this season.

Coming into this match, Song Bo Know that they have to win into to turn the season around. But god is fair. He would want you to work for and I mean work hard. Opponent is the team we play and lose to just 1 superb player of theirs. Therefore, the manager instruction was to contain him all the way.

Seldom had Song Bo be able to go straight into the game with ease. We were hardly tested in the first 10 min of the game.(May be the opponents age plays a part). The 0.1 ton sybian could even test the keeper from way out from a back heel from Papa Soh. Such a shame that this strike could on rattle the cross bar with the keeper fully stretch.

Shortly after, Alvin toh receive a long pass that he manage to break the off side trap. As he round the keeper, he was being trip. He tried to keep his balance but with all the booze he had over the years, his weight get the better of him and he fell. Penatly!!!! No question about it.

Being 1 of the better penalty taker, Papa soh step up but alas. The keeper manage to keep the penalty out, but on the path of Mervin who need no invitation to slam the ball home. 1-0 song Bo in the driving seat.

This goal allow song bo to finally settle down and proceed forward for their long awaited win. Again sybian was put through on goal with a fine pass by … dun kow who it was hahahahaha. With a defender breathing down his neck and the keeper rushing out, he manage to keep his cool and fire a weak volley with his left leg. The keeper was in superb form and he manage to block the ball . again he place it onto the path of sybian who place a shot towards the goal. He could only watch the ball kissing the pole. May be he really need to go to Loyang Tua Pei Kong to offer some prayers.

With a goal down, the opponents decided to up their gear and push forward. Their efforts pays off and they were rewarded with a penalty. 1-1!!! Song bo were silent andyou could see the players with their head hung low. Not a very good sign.

Minutes away from half time, song bo were hit hard, very hard when the opponents score the 2nd goal to go into half time with the lead. Mood were clearly not very good within song bo.

Going into the 2nd half, song bo manage to dug deep into their soul to search for a win. Alvin toh was through on goal then again luck was something that song bo has been missing. His shot beat the keeper but not the left pole. Again dejection was written all over the players face.

God decided to have some sympathy for song bo as jacky corner eluded every 1 and went into goal. Song bo has level the score. And now for the win. Things were evenly match between the team. With the combination of papa soh, sparrow and Alvin toh, papa soh fine strike put song bo into the drving seat once again. 3-2. Now its to protect the lead and end the game. Song bo knows that with a goal up against this team, its not good enough . They continue to search for the 4th goal to kill of the game. God has other things on his mind and only he knows it.

Alvin toh again has the goal on his mercy but alas, the ball hit the left pole again. May be he sould be going to loyang tua peh kong with sybian. Fatigue set in on song bo . with a lapse of concentration, opponent floats in a corner and all the song bo play just ball watching , only for the opponent to jump u and head in the ball. 3-3

Things not looking too good for song bo. Song bo was conscious about the big size ang moh who always hit the ground with just the slightest touch. Think he would better go play netball and shut the F*** up.

Again lapse of concentration prove to be another area of serious problem for song bo. From a pass to the penalty area from the ang moh , his teamlaid back a pass to him . He took it first time. 4-3. This really kill off any fighting spirit left in song bo. Soon the final whistle blow and song bo was heading into the showers, wondering what must be done to stop this curse.

Quote of the day: ‘ No matter how many time the ball hit the wood work, if it never result in a goal , its still consider zero.’ – Captain sparrow

SBFC headed into this match on an unprecedented run of bad results in their history, not knowing that they would add another bad result to the sequence.

Everything looked optimistic at the start, bright sunny weather, a relatively good pitch and a referee who looked keen to stamp his authority in the match. (Note: an authoritative referee, in my opinion, is only to SBFC's advantage. Our opponents tend to play dirty, not us. So I don't know why we were affected by his authoritative style.)

SBFC started off well with 2 well taken goals in the first half. A clearance by fullback Seng saw the ball being lifted to Kenny in the opposite half. An accelerating run by Kenny saw him beat his marker, as he brought the ball to the right before slamming the ball with precise accuracy into the goal.

The second goal came quickly after. A clearance in the opponent's half was done haphazardly, and saw the ball finding Kenny in some miraculous way. Without any further invitation, Kenny chose to place the ball to the GK's left, giving SBFC a comfortable 2-0 lead over their youthful opponents.

Who would have even expected what was going to happen? With a comfortable 2-goal lead, one would see the leading team consolidating their advantage, and the opposition throwing caution to the wind to equalise, which most of the time, will see more goals being knocked into a undefended goal. These goals did came, but at the wrong end.

The goal that sparked the opposition's revival came fast and furious. The ball was played into SB's half without much threat at all, as the number of attackers matched the number of defenders. However, laid-back defending saw the opposing LM holding the ball for too long a time, while our defenders were contented to sit back and defend. With time on his hand, the LM picked his spot and curled a wicked shot into SB's goal, with PapaSoh beaten as his view of the shot was blocked, as claimed. 2-1

Ball to hand, hand to ball. According to the referee, there is no longer a difference between the two. And how it came to haunt us. While defending an attack, CapiTan was penalised for a handball in the penalty area as he jumped up with no intent to block the ball with his arm. Rules are rules. A penalty was given and PapaSoh was unlucky not to block the shot having gone the right direction. 2-2 (Note: a check on FIFA's rule book (updated 2011) http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/generic/81/42/36/lawsofthegame_2010_11_e.pdf has CONFIRMED that a handball is only called if a player, other than the GK, deliberately handles the ball. So that self-centred referee was WRONG. I hate it when someone is wrong but insists that he is right. Just like MIW. Oops)

Once there's a crack, attack it. And how the opposition did. Sensing that our defence was starting to show vulnerability, the opposition carried on laying siege to SBFC. With due credit, SBFC did not relent and also tried to attack back, just that the opposition proved to be more decisive in their finishing. A potshot from the opponent striker had SBFC's custodian beaten for the third time that day. 2-3. Details are blurry as the reporter was already suffering from the heat of the midday sun. Was that an excuse that was playing in the minds of the SBFC players too? Or was the penalty call that allowed for the equaliser unwarranted? Or that many of the SBFC players stayed up to watch the results of GE 2011 and suffered from lack of rest.

Be it whatever. As a classic number from the late Michael Jackson goes, "Blame it on the sunshine, blame it on the moonlight, blame it on the good times. Boogie."

A quick rundown on the statistics will show you that SBFC had a very bad track record at Fuhua. The reasons are plenty. Whether It’s due to freak accidents that resulted in bad injury, opponents too strong, bad referee or just pure unlucky, Fuhua has all dished them out to SBFC. Thus, a match being played here often result in more bad then good.

On a brighter side of things, we welcome back our ‘highly-talented-overseas-trained’ Robinho, who left us for ‘overseas’ training that lasted for about 6 months. Statistics had also shown that his presence in the team enabled SBFC to reap out some very good results. Let’s hope his return will add in some light to the already very gleam showing of SBFC’s recent poor run of form.

The opponent today is none other than the team with the fearsome no.77, who’s speed, agility, control and shot power strikes fear in SBFC’s defense. But, a close inspection on the squad brought in some very good news as no.77 was nowhere to be found! Good news??

With the absence of Capt. Sparrow and Sybian, there aren’t many changes to the team lineup. The point of focus will be on LB, the position that Robinho is playing.

The match begins as per normal, with the usual quick exchanges of possession as both teams try to get into their game. Being a team that specializes in teamwork and defense, much of the possession was with the opponent as they spray passes from across the field, trying to craft out a pass that will tore a hole in SBFC’s defense.

There isn’t much time for Robinho to try to adapt back to the ‘local’ game as most of the opponent‘s attack came from there. Their right winger tormented Robinho and it wasn’t long until he managed to break through SBFC’s defense. A throw in from the left, a quick fake of the body and he turned Robinho on the inside. Carrying out what a winger is supposed to do, he executed a nicely weighted cross that loops past John Terri and evaded Lusty. The ball was connected by his team mate, who manages to make the slightest of touch and diverts it towards the goal. The power isn’t strong, but it was enough to beat Junbing and break the deadlock. SBFC is down a goal, 0-1.

The score line was enough to serve as a wakeup call. Upon restart, the defensive minded SBFC begins to attack to get back on level terms. The tide has turned and it was the opponent’s defense being placed on the back foot now. A long ball from the left releases Tiger Yan and he charges down the right to try to reach the ball before the on rushing GK. With his well-toned muscle and never say die attitude, he reaches first and executed a stinging shot. The power was there, but it wasn’t able to beat the GK who opened up his body well to block it. The deflected shot fall to Commando Tan and one doesn’t need to tell him what to do as he follows up with another fiercely driven shot. Still, the GK was up to it and he somehow manages to block it with a part of his body. 2 shots, 2 block! But that wasn’t the end, Alvin Toh came out of nowhere to scoop up the ball and take another shot at goal. 3 shots after, the GK is finally beaten! 1-1! Back on level terms! And this brings a close to the first half

A quick team talk by Roy Hudson and both teams is back on the playing field. Not wanting to settle for a stalemate, both teams attacked right after the whistle for kick off of the second half is blown. With both defenses cancelling out each other’s attack, the score line was to remain at 1-1 for much of the second half. Stamina isn’t SBFC’s forte and as time creeps on, more and more tired legs can be seen. Clearance has become weaker and opponents are being closed down slower. Leaks are beginning to show in SBFC’s defense. A poor clearance by SBFC’s defense from a corner saw the ball fall into the opponent’s midfielder who was position just outside the penalty box. Disregarding the bodies in front of him, he executed a low drive shot which miraculously bypasses each and every one of SBFC’s defense! Due to the pools of bodies in front, the GK saw it late and wasn’t able to react. 1-2! SBFC on the back foot once again! This isn’t the first time where SBFC has let in a goal in the dying minutes.

With time not on their side, bodies not reacting to thoughts due to tiredness and a torn in their morale, SBFC wasn’t going to be able to win back the game, much less draw level. This was confirmed by the referee when the final whistle is blown.

Poor run of form… YES!
No luck at all… YES!
But is this the end.. HELL NO!

Let’s get our back our victory and have a taste of success!

Songbo FC back to winning ways

From a club that for a long time enjoyed the luxury of having 4 practise balls and 1 match ball to fallen into one that nearly faced a ball-less situation, one would expect the club to fall from such grace is Songbo FC.

With a CFO, Souless Seng, who is also a die-hard Arsenal fan, it is no surprise why the club though having lots of cash in it's bankbook, simply refuse to buy more balls. Exactly the same way why Arsenal dun wanna spend money buying new players to boost the squad.
If Souless ever read this article, i hope we can see new balls appearing in Fuhua Secondary the next week.

With goals from PapaSoh, BerbaToh and Seafood King in the first half, it virtually has kill off our opponents. Even a freakish consolation goal, could not muster any comeback to the game.
The game started with the opponents having a major share of possession. Bombarding the goal with some long shots and crosses, creating pressure towards Songbo. The only and crucial save came from a through pass, with the opponent beating the offside trap, he chips the keeper and luckily Tiger Yan was not far from the goal line and tips the ball to the crossbar. Having some sessions of yoga indeed made him a better keeper.

Songbo was awaken from that moment and few minutes later, a corner by Looney straight towards goal was FLAPPED by the keeper and a tap-in was needed by PapSoh to take the lead. 1-0 up!

With mando Tan making relentless running, the opponent midefield simply can't find a way to stop him. A simple pass was made to BerbaToh at the edge of the penalty area, and seeing no commitment from the opponent, Toh made an audacious looping strike and scored. 2-0 up!

Songbo was not satisfied, having thrown away 2 goals lead before, they needed a third to seal the game. And they are rewarded when another trademark corner from Looney was headed out by the opponents. Little did they know that Seafood King is lurking to strike just outside the box. Upon seeing the loose ball, he dash forward and completed a first time half volley into the left corner of the goal. 3-0!

Seafood King improved goal instinct certainly has to give credit to his time under Manger Lam Hodgon. A pity their manager is not there to witness the winning ways of Songbo.

Second half was more exciting....at least to the fans. Captain Mubarak was claiming a hurt hamstring, so on came NBA Star. In the past, NBA Star is one of the fittest and speedy player in Songbo, but a return to Basketball only makes his tummy bigger n bigger. It makes one wonder, how come he can grew so fat while playing a Basketball league. Due to reliable sources, NBA Star real intention to basketball is to train up a bunch of street fighters that do nothing but bash up opponents on and off the court. He was not involved in any fights as he is too slow to chase his man.

NBA Star was a stark contrast to his usual form. He could no longer outrun opponents, twist his body and whip in a decent cross. His presence on field remind the crowd (Mubarak and C-cup Chaos) of Fat Ronaldo.

Last but not least, the freakish goal that PapaSoh let in was a slow looping free-kick which Harry Redknapp's grandmother could tip it over. But instead it was tipped into the goal by our ever-reliable GK, Papasoh.

My man of the match is definitely Mando Tan. His lung-less running is the best weapon to Songbo for the day.

Off-the-Records

Souless Seng is no longer Lusty because he is now living with an empty soul. He has been giving craps to Mubarak and toking no-sense lately. Just hours before the match, he was spotted in CCK at around 2am. His mind on that day is definitely not the soccer ball, but the other 'Ball' that night. He can say watever he wans, but we know him too well. Nevertheless, we hope his love life is beautiful.

Tummy Quan is another victim of Mubarak's lashing. As Mubarak commented, "His body can no longer do what his mind wants..." With late nights mahjong every week, its inevitable his tummy is growing at such an alarming rate. Maybe a Run350 could help him with that.

C-cup Chao reported for urgent MC due to an injured back. Doubts are cast over the authencity of his injury, even the honest Seafood King who accompany him to take IPPT could not be confidently sure that it was due to IPPT that he injured his back. Songbo FC management would like to remind its member to exercise due caution when trying out new sex stunts.

Its a sunny Sunday morning. The Songbos had a wild night of fun a kelvin's house, where they screamed at the top of their voice, celebrating Rooney's wonder goal.... But the party the night before might have just caused the pathetic performance on the field.

The opponent, in blue jersey, was a brunch of early - mid twenties Chinese, with a big and tall foreign import.

The game started with a brief exchange of passes and attacks from both teams, but neither was able to threaten the goal. Songbo get a few changes where the ball was played through the defense but the BLUE center backs recover well and clear the danger. The BLUE foreign import, a whiteman, just like a peice of tofu, fall to the ground after challenging for the ball with our Golden Triangle (Seafood King, Geeky Chao and Tummy Quan). Tiger Yan was fired up, and his tough challenges on the BLUE defenders causes small scuffles. Non-official sources reported that Tiger was one of the victim of the late night AGM, which caused Tiger not being able to release his testorone hence resulting in his fiery temper on the pitch. Before long, a concentration lapse by Songbo saw the BLUE scored the first goal. Songbo was shocked by the goal, however they wasn't able to find an equaliser, and the BLUE doubled the scoreline just before the half time whistle.

Back in the dressing room, Captain Murbarak, gave the Songbos his hair dryer prep talk, hoping to tightened the play when the second half resumes.

Songbo started the second half positively, showing the desire to get themselves back into the game... Mando Tan scored from a nice lay-off by Captain Mubarak. Scoreline 1 - 2. Confidence of Songbo rises, but it was before long when Geeky Chao hack a BLUE stirker inside the penalty box. No. 9, their talisman of the BLUE step forward to take the penalty. PapaSoh as always, so reliable in between the goal pump the ball away. Scoreline 1 - 2. Not long after missing the penalty, the BLUE No. 9 send a defend splitting pass to their foreign import, and 1 - 3 is the scoreline.

Songbo, not giving up, scored a goal to bring the scorelin to 2 - 3. This time run, our Geylang King, went on a solo effort, dribbling past the BLUE defenders, and score with a beautiful left footed goal.

However, Songbo shows their lack of match fitness, struggling to keep up with the opponent, resulting Papa Soh being sodomised for another two attempts. Final scoreline 2 - 5...

Songbo fc first start of the season with a sensational.......DRAW....... without their star striker starting up front due to last season injuries, Bebertoh open up the scoring sheet with 2 fantastic goal. we had alot of chances during the first 15mins, with Geylang King and Commando Tan tearing down the flanks, hammering in dangerous crosses.. Geylang King using all his drinking and shaking skill opening up opponent left back like macham drink water so easy, along with commando Tan. the both of them giving opponent quite a problem..

1st goal of the season came with an own goal, with their goalkeeper misjudge a missed kick by their defender..1-0.... the opps didnt gave up, number of long shots came in, but my own papasoh make no mistake saving them one after one.. but... they still manage to get a goal back becos of our defender missed kick to clear a loose ball.. 1-1.. with a few mins left for the first half.. commando tan manage to break pass a defender on the right and sends a beautiful cross towards berbetoh,...goal..!!! 2-1... 1st half 2-1..

Starting of the 2nd half berbetoh manage to volley in a powerful shot into the net after the opponent late clearance..3-1.. Captain sparrow and the rest of the team changes their tactics to defendsive mode... with wayang quan sub out for melvin. but the opponent still manage to CHEAT a goal back by diving in our penalty area.. 3-2.. mins later a looping shot manage to pass tiger yan.. 3-3... with just 10mins to full time, captain sparrow make the last sub of the day, Elnino for berbetoh... captain sparrow told elnino not to push to hard due to injuries. just after kick off, papasoh send a low cross to 'the kid', dashing down the flank only to see the ball clear by the keeper just one step of elnino legs... full time 3-3.. commando tan told eLnino "becos of your leg injuries slow down ur speed, if not the keeper..no chance ar" swee la.. for this and his performance vs geylang king, i vote commando tan 'MAn of thE matCh"
